For NGOs and financial institutions

How NGOs and financial institutions use Chondohub

Agricultural finance providers, development organisations, and extension programs access aggregated, consent-based, anonymised signals from the platform. Individual farmer records are private by default — partners never see a specific farmer's farm, crop, or financial records without that farmer's explicit consent.

Data privacy model

Every farmer on Chondohub owns their own data. No partner — financial institution, NGO, government program, or research body — has access to individual farm records unless the farmer explicitly grants it. Chondohub does not sell individual farmer data.

Aggregated, anonymised signals are made available to institutional partners at the program level: how many consenting farms in a given area are planting a particular crop, what input purchase patterns look like, where advisory gaps exist. This data is always de-identified before it reaches the partner.

For agricultural finance providers

Lenders and insurers can integrate with Chondohub to offer products to farmers with verified farm records. A farmer with documented planting dates, input purchases, and soil history represents a lower-information credit risk than a farmer with no digital footprint. The farmer applies for a product within the platform; the lender sees the consent-gated record package the farmer chooses to share — nothing more.

For NGOs and development programs

Extension programs, donor-funded projects, and development organisations can enrol participating farmers into program activities within the platform. Field visits, input distributions, training completions, and monitoring indicators can be recorded against enrolled farms. Aggregate program dashboards give program managers visibility without exposing individual farmer data to other program participants.

For research and market linkage

Research institutions and offtakers can access anonymised market-readiness signals — what volumes of a crop are approaching harvest across consenting farms — to plan logistics and purchasing in advance. Individual farmer identity is not revealed in these signals.
