Hardware that makes the platform real
Two ChondoHub-native devices, built for Kenyan farms — because the data the platform needs wasn't being captured anywhere else.
ChondoHub Soil Probe
Built because farmers were planting blind.
Across the farms ChondoHub serves, the same story kept showing up in the data: planting at the wrong time, liming too late, watering when the soil was already wet. Not because farmers didn't care — because they couldn't see what was happening underground. Lab tests took weeks and the lab was rarely close.
The Soil Probe was built to close that loop. Walk into a field, take a reading, know what the soil is doing right now. It pairs natively with ChondoHub so the reading lands on the right field, in the right season, alongside everything else that field has lived through. Decisions stop being guesses.
It's the kind of tool that should have existed for smallholder farms a long time ago. We built it because nobody else had.
ChondoHub Livestock GPS
Built for every herd — smallholder to ranch.
Large farms and ranches lose more livestock to theft, straying and missed breeding windows than they should — not because the herders aren't trying, but because nobody can be in three pastures at once. At scale, animals stop being individuals and start being a list nobody fully reconciles. Insurance won't cover what you can't prove. Financiers won't underwrite what you can't monitor.
The Livestock GPS tag puts every animal back on the map — literally. Live location, geofence alerts the moment one crosses a boundary, and daily activity reports that flag the cow who's drifted from the herd before anyone notices. For ranch managers, that's the difference between finding out at the next muster and finding out by sunrise. For insurers and financiers underwriting livestock, it's the difference between "we'll consider it" and a workable policy.
Smallholders and cooperatives running shared herds get the same hardware and the same dashboard. The protection doesn't change with herd size — only the economics do, and they get better the bigger the herd.
They work because the platform does
Other devices give you readings. ChondoHub Devices give you readings that already know which field, which animal, which season they belong to. The hardware is the easy part — the platform behind it is what makes it useful.
